If you don't understand EDCMS, think of it this way.
D: delete denominator
O: Outside times (first) Out times (last) OFOL
C: Combine numbers and same letter variables
T: Transport like terms to the other side of the equal sign
A: Add, subtract, ETC

ok mr bertrand, you said that minus signs are like negitive number signs, right?
Correct!
Look 7 + (-13) is the same as 7 - 13. Therefore any subtraction sign is like a negative sign!
So if you have -3(5 + 2x) it will be -15 + (-2x) which is -15 - 2x. Same thing!!

9/4z+1/2=2/1
the 9/4z is like -9/4, the - sign goes anywhere, so it is 9z/4 (guess)
I think this is what you got stuck on, but you can ask. I'll be looking at this blog most of the time.
Mr.B I did my Math homework and I'm struggling with #'s 1 and 11
The variable z 0n # 10 is actually on top of the fraction. You could write
9z 1
--- + -- = 2
4 2
Just use 4 as a common denominator (Change 2 on the right side to a fraction over 4 as well)

First of all I was reading all of the comments.. HAHA
Anyways in class today I felt like everyone.. including me was doing a great job of listining and understanding the topics. Let's keep it up! Also DO YOUR HOMEWORK it will pay off in the long run.... hopefully! :)When is the test? What is it going to be on? And andrew was pretending to be Mr. Mack. Zachary gave it to Mr. Mack?
